A brief introduction to each team member. The links above take you to a page detailing each of our rockets and providing info about them.

Carey Huff -
April 21, 2009

Carey holding Carl Jr. rocket The founding member of HUFFPERFORMANCE, Carey is who you will deal with if you call or e-mail us. He handles the website, the orders, the money, the taxes, the inventory, and most everything else. You'll rarely see Carey actually fly anything, as launches are usually busy enough trying to take care of everyone's needs. Now don't get the wrong idea, we aren't complaining! If Carey wasn't busy every launch day, the doors wouldn't be open!

Don Huff -

Don's Level 1 cert flight "Master Painter Don" is responsible for many of the birds in the fleet. He keeps a steady stream of parts and ideas flowing to the rest of the team to ensure that we always have plenty to fly. Don is a do-it-yourselfer and a motor mixer. Most of his rockets are scratch built and many even have homemade composite fins. Most research days, you'll find Don at the field before anyone else. By the time the waiver opens, he will have every pad loaded with a different formula. If he beats the pads to the field, he'll just set up his own!

Haley Allen (soon to be a Huff) -
June 30, 2009

Haley arming a rocket Haley is the reason HUFFPERFORMANCE exists. She coerced the rest of us into going to the first launches to watch her test launches for USLI. She really is a rocket scientist. Holding a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University, she is now working toward a Masters in the same at Georgia Tech. Despite a rigorous curriculum, she still finds time to attend most launches with Carey.

Kathy Huff -

Kathy and rocket Matilda Kathy got the bug after attending just a few launches. She jumped right in with her first rocket and knocked Levels 1 and 2 out with no trouble. She is the reason HUFFPERFORMANCE attended our first LRDS in Argonia. The rest of us were undecided and she made the call, saying "You can come if you want, I'll be there with the tent setup either way."
